As the company has grown over the years, so has our family. With over 50 employees, it’s always been our philosophy that everyone who works for us is family, whether they are related or not. It’s that personal and caring environment that makes our jerky so special. The people making each bag of jerky truly care about what they’re doing and each other.
Jae Boyd
Jerky has always been a passion of Jae’s. With decades of experience guiding companies to success, he has been a driving force whose leadership motivates the entire company.
Sue Boyd
“Granny” is the heart and soul of Boyd Specialties. Her knowledge of the industry is truly unrivaled. It was her recipe in the 1950s that ignited the spark that would one day become Boyd Specialties.
Jade Middleton
Jae’s daughter Jade offers a meticulous organization to the scheduling of Boyd Specialties’ orders. Entering into medical school and recently a first-time-mom, Jade’s work ethic never fails to motivate us all.
Tony Middleton
9 years ago, Tony was working with his father in Yucaipa. Their shop bought jerky from us. That was how he met Jade, his future wife and soon began working with Boyd Specialties. His knowledge has become the backbone of the company and his positivity has made Boyd Specialties a success.
Axell Middleton
Axell is our World Champion Stacyc BMX and motorcycle rider at only 5 years old! His smile never fails to boost the morale of everyone around him! Of course, as our sponsored athlete, he loves jerky!
We pride ourselves on being a family-first company. When we started Boyd Specialties it was a way to work together and remain close, and it has brought together new and old family members that span centuries of tradition. There are 4 generations of Boyds working at Boyd Specialties (If you count Axell… who was born in December of 2018). From the matriarch and office manager, Sue Boyd, to the owner and driving force, Jae Boyd, this company has never been a job. It’s a life.
